Tomorrow is the 10th Jerusalem Marathon. I’ve been lucky enough to run times in the Jerusalem marathon, but I won’t be running tomorrow. So tomorrow’s marathon is a make-up marathon. You may have noticed the date on the photo above, 20/03/2020. There was no marathon on that date as the world was scrambling about dealing with the coronavirus pandemic. So we’re finally having that marathon, and it’s tomorrow. The marathon usually is in the spring, right before Purim, adding a carnival feel to the whole event.
It’s an incredible feeling running through the old city and the streets of Jerusalem. I’m sure it’s a nuisance to most residents, but many line the streets to cheer on the runners. I hope tomorrow’s race will be similar. Good luck to all.
Please note: Due to the marathon there will be no deliveries tomorrow in Jerusalem. We apologize for the inconvenience.
7-11 is coming to town. The convenience chain stores have committed to opening 20 branches in Israel. I’m curious to see what that’ll look like.
A major imports reform is being pushed in the Knesset, which should decrease prices on tons of products. Unfortunately, it’s become expected that prices are often a third to double higher for many items. This reform is supposed to change that.

Fabric, an Israeli robotics company that makes it easy for companies to set up fast turnaround e-commerce fulfillment sites, raised 200M in its Series C funding round, making it the newest Israeli Unicorn.
That woman in David’s kitchen just received a package. Here’s her story.
Meet Sharon Katz. Sharon has a daughter, Lily, that is studying in Machon Maayan.
Earlier this year, she called to place an order. When she mentioned that she was from Chicago, I asked her, “How about it, if you don’t pay for your delivery and when you are next here, anytime during the year, you can pay me for your order in Romainian hot dogs!” For those that don’t know, Romainian hot dogs are the BEST kosher hot dogs in the world!
Sharon was shocked but agreed!!
Three months later, I received a phone call from Sharon, “Guess where I am?”
She arrived tonight with a VERY generous supply of hot dogs AND 4 rib steaks!
My meat angel and New BF!!!
Thank You, Sharon!
As always, I hope to make you smile with some articles and nuggets from the past week.
