Inflation, rising antisemitism, tumbling markets, and other bad news stories are easy to find. So, sit back and enjoy some good news.

Last night, during an arrest operation in Jenin, a firefight broke out between our troops and terrorists. Thankfully, there were no injuries to our soldiers, and they killed two senior terrorists, including a Palestinian Islamic Jihad field commander. Security forces are concerned that there could be rocket fire from Gaza in retaliation.

It’s the first of the month, so it’s a good time to think about who has a December birthday or anniversary or maybe someone you know and love is due for a pick-me-up. We have a lot of great opportunities to send warm hugs in the lead-up to Chanukah. We’ll also continue our tradition of raising money for lone soldiers by sending them sufganiyot to warm them up over Chanukah. Order Now.

Israel is very close to having a government. For the last month, Bibi has been negotiating with various right-wing parties to form the coalition needed to form a government. They’re now on the cusp of completing the deal and are ready to move on to the swearing-in. I’m not sure if this is good or bad. It depends on where you get your news. So here’s to the new govt. I’m just hoping for the best. #l’chaim

At the world cup, Israeli journalists were shocked that not all Arabs are comfortable talking to Israelis. The day’s big news is that the US team beat the Iran team on Tuesday. Unfortunately, a 27-year-old Iranian in Bandar Anzali, a city on the Caspian Sea coast northwest of Tehran, had a bad idea to honk his horn in celebration. The regime killed him. The Kurds shot off fireworks. Enjoy your freedom from wherever you read this.

Finally, the US and Israeli Air Forces teamed up for a joint drill simulating an attack on Iran. They published a pretty cool video of the planes flying in formation. You can also hear the radio calls going back and forth. They released a statement that the drills took place over Israel with 4 IAF F-35i fighter jets and four American f-15s. They were also accompanied by an American KC-135 refueling aircraft and practiced in-air refueling. #GodBless

If you enjoyed lentil soup last week. Please let me know. This week we have Yaakov heading to charan and his dream on the way. Yaakov becomes a shepherd so maybe a Shepherds pie would be appropriate. Enjoy!
